Esta Megalópolis en el sur de California, ciudad de Los Ángeles, es el líder mundial en la producción de programas de cine y televisión.
Una región simbólica en el mapa de la ciudad es Hollywood. Aquí se concentran estudios cinematográficos famosos como Warner Bros. Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios y el gigantesco letrero de Hollywood en la colina se han convertido en uno de los paisajes más reconocibles del mundo.Los turistas viajan a Los Ángeles para ir de excursión al enorme parque temático Universal Studios Hollywood y ver con sus propios ojos dónde se filmaron sus películas favoritas. Otros lugares populares de la ciudad, que al mismo tiempo representan las principales atracciones turísticas son: el bulevar de Hollywood con estrellas que llevan los nombres de las figuras del cine y la televisión y una plaza frente al Teatro chino donde las celebridades dejan las huellas de sus manos y pies. Aquí cualquiera puede comparar el tamaño de su calzado con el escarpín de Merlín Monroe o el zapato de Charlie Chaplin. Y después de un día actividad intensa y excursiones se puede relajar y recuperar fuerzas en uno de los miles de restaurantes, bares y cafeterías. No es extraño que los lugareños y visitantes llamen a Los Ángeles la capital del entretenimiento.El moderno Los Ángeles se formó al unirse varias ciudades aisladas, por lo que la distancia entre los distritos y los diferentes puntos de la ciudad es enorme. Los principales tipos de transporte público son autobuses y el metro. La mayoría de los residentes locales manejan autos privados, la familia puede tener dos, tres o más autos. El desarrollo del transporte por carretera fue posible gracias al sistema de autopistas modernas y complejas intersecciones de carreteras. Para su comodidad, los que llegan de visita deberían alquilar un automóvil y usar la guía turística de la ciudad.
