Singapur: un milagro asiático
Singapur es una ciudad-Estado, que sólo en 50 años recorrió el camino del desarrollo desde asentamientos de pescadores hasta convertirse en un centro financiero internacional moderno.
El mapa de la república de Singapur incluye 63 islas grandes y pequeñas con una superficie total de 719,9 km². Es notable, que este número de año en año sigue aumentando debido al programa de expansión artificial del territorio y a la formación de terrazas fluviales.Las atracciones principales de Singapur son los parques y las reservas naturales. Entre ellas se pueden destacar la reserva «Bukit Tima», el parque de las aves «Jurong» y la isla turística de Sentosa. Incluso en el zoológico de la ciudad los animales viven en condiciones próximas a las naturales. Los lugares más populares para los turistas son el malecón y muelle de clarke quay, donde hay una cadena de tiendas, restaurantes flotantes, pubs, tiendas y departamentos donde se fabrican y venden artículos de artesanía nacional.En Singapur se encuentra desarrollado el servicio de taxis, como uno de los principales medios de transporte público. Hay que señalar, que los taxis son solicitados regularmente no solo por los turistas, sino también por los residentes de la ciudad. Esto se debe a la política seguida por el municipio sobre el costo del taxi, que en comparación con el salario promedio es bajo y comprar su propio automóvil en las islas es costoso. De esta manera, las autoridades advirtieron con anticipación sobre los atascos de tráfico en una ciudad densamente urbanizada y teniendo un conductor local, el turista no necesita una guía turística para viajar por la ciudad.
