Really disappointed! No any clue in their promotions clearly mentioned that locals are not allowed. Simply discrimination.

In a quiet residential neighborhood and is actually someone's house. Has a pool as well and wifi (only in the lounge area) is not bad if there aren't too many people around. Not a "party" hostel.

Lovely place, outside the buzz of Colombo and totally within reach, about 30min by bus from downtown, and most of all busses go all night long (although they tend to be less frequent in the wee hours)
