Legend says devil tempted local hermit to a sin here. Other legend says that this rock was abadonded by the devil, who was harming castle builders Sokolov, when he was distracted by a rooster crow.

Pověst vypráví, že se zde pokoušel ďábel svést k hříchu místního poustevníka. Jiná pak,že měl tuto skálu upustit čert, který měl škodit stavitelům hradu Sokolov, když byl vyrušen kohoutím zakokrháním.
