An excellent & truly historic day out. Worth visiting and spending the full day here if the weather is good as you can have a picnic on the battlefield. The abbey is much fun for all ages & even dogs.

The battlefield is obviously just a field but is a lovely walk and helps contextualise the history

Be sure to pick up the free audio tour but you can skip the movie in the visitor center as it covers the same information. And don't forget about the museum hidden upstairs in the gate house.

Do the long work-it's worth the theatrics of being on the battlefield
