Learn about Shaw’s promise to conserve, preserve, and cultivate nature and see it in action. Don’t miss the Japanese Garden, the Chinese Friendship Garden, thé home garden. Ps it’s totally haunted.

This place is beautiful from entry to exit. There are great free events in the summer and winter. Also there’s great food too. Sandwiches, salads and brunch on Sunday. Just go!

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a gardener's dream. Wander through the paths of the Japanese Garden or get lost in the beautiful butterflies of the Climatron.

Free admission to great concerts Wednesday evenings-take a picnic. The Asian garden is amazing. The kids love going to the koi pond and feeding the fish. You can easily spend a full day here.

The ottoman salad from the cafe is perhaps the best salad I've ever had. It has such fresh organic ingredients that are straight from the gardens. It's a great place for a healthy tasty meal!

This place is amazing. Throughout the year they have occasional light shows at night, which are pretty cool. I went to the lantern festival this year- it was so gorgeous!

Whitaker Fest on Wednesdays in the summer is one of my favorite things about living in St. Louis! Other can't miss events - Chinese and Japanese gardens, Garden Glow, Best of MO market

One of my favorite places on Earth. I've been here multiple times and can spend hours just walking around enjoying nature. And I don't even know anything about botany!

So many excellent ways to be part of this STL treasure. Regular entrance fees are not bad, compared to other Gardens in US. Go see Japanese/Chinese fests, Orchid Show, Whitaker, Christmas, Hanukkah.
