Trails aren't that bad, even with machine made snow. Leave plenty of time to get on the mountain during holidays; rental staff is pretty slow. Ski school for the kids was awesome.

Have in mind something. *This is NOT a pro/advanced/expert mountain. This is a beginners and regular skiers.

Lots of slopes for all levels of skiers! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Ski during the Twilight session on a weekday to get the slopes to yourself!

If you can come on an empty weekend you might get free lessons-from ski patrol! My stepmom did. Also on the last day of the season they have free food. Very cool.

Avoid the mid-day crowds in the lodge eating line by going upstairs. Still great food, smaller selection, cash-only... but much faster!

Ski Sugar later in the season & stay in the condos at the top of Big Red. Walk out your back door on to the top of the run; do it late night or early morning to avoid crowds. Short drive from ATL.
