Simply research the tide times online b4 you go. No biggie.. Amazing place rich in Christian / English heritage. Deff going back SOON. :) Loved it.

Amazing house on a rocky outcrop. Watch your tidetable times though or else you could be trapped on the island when the tide comes in over the causeway. Don't try and beat it with your vehicle.

There's a shuttle bus between carpark and castle £2 return worth it on cold day. No dogs in castle but can wait in an upturned boat and go in relays

The castle was built in 1550, around the time Lindisfarne Priory went out of use, stones from the priory were used as building material. It was refurbished by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1901 [Wikipedia].
